So I'm leaving to take a workshop in LA soon (June 20-July 20).
In it, I will be producing and directing a short, all in the 4 weeks I will be out there.
In preparation, I have already written my short (based loosely on my own experiences of fraternity hazing). However, it has come my attention that in such a short period of time, this might be tough to produce...I wrote it with production worries in mind, and by no means would it be tough to make. What does make it tough are the time constraints. Finding a location, getting a crew, equipment, actors, production design, etc. We have about a week (a week!) to do all this, and since the class has not sent any information telling us that they will be providing us with crew and equipment (other than HVX cameras and editing docks), this can be, as an 84 year old in Brooklyn Heights might say, "Quite a pickle".
So, anyone got any ideas for another short? One that would be easy to produce? Is anyone even reading this?
Maybe I could shoot a documentary about the effects on the world this video has had:
